Following his well received presentation at the 2017 MEA conference in Seattle entitled Span Efficiency For Electric Airplanes: the Size and Speed Solution, Synergy Aircraft founder John McGinnis was invited to return and present again, this time as conference Chairman. However, a busy family schedule ahead of his presentation at the August 20-23, 2018 event led to his politely declining the Chairman’s role last spring.

When new conference organizers contacted him again at the end of July, enough had transpired to allow a change of heart. “This is a valuable conference and workshop,” he said, “a lot of serious people doing serious work. It was an honor to present there last year and a privilege to be asked to assist in an expanded capacity this year,” McGinnis said. His 2018 presentation is entitled “Acknowledging Weight Per Wingspan: A Synergistic Catalyst Toward More Electric Aircraft.” IQPC_More Electric Aircraft Agenda

Not to our knowledge. A future task for editors will be to incorporate some of the audio highlights from John’s various presentations. There are a lot of them.

Can you let me know how you are progressing with the aircraft – where are you upto in 2019?

Are you getting to a position to have an actual production aircraft flying?

Looking at the model and drawings it appears to be a very exciting concept – keeping pursuing your dream

Thanks for your interest. Production aircraft development will likely begin in concert with prototype flight testing. Engine changes are being accommodated, but work is progressing well toward a productive winter schedule that may allow more news to be forthcoming. A restructuring has been initiated to begin the commercial phase of our activities, which requires outside investment.
