Big news! The same incredibly powerful Computational Fluid Dynamics capabilities used by Synergy are now available to outside clientele.http://www.aero-news.net/index.cfm?do=main.textpost&id=0cc5837d-b0d4-4a20-b2ee-a412188d371d

Mr. McGinnis,
Looking forward to news — Maybe the Sodium / Glass battery will help your plane, 26Amps/ounce seems pretty good to me.
Maybe Siemens could be persueeded to build a 250 HP version of the SP260D (348HP) since you really don’t need that much muscle.
Best of luck…
Thanks Paul. Synergy is well positioned to fly almost any battery to new world records. We look forward to it. As to motors, with electric aircraft we tend to utilize their higher available torque differently. At lower speeds we can fly longer prop blades, and more of them, with much higher aerodynamic efficiency than a variable pitch prop on a combustion engine. At high speeds the current and torque required drops, thus the rated horsepower isn’t reached. The Siemens motor is just fine, and we are ready for it. We also have our own.
